Spa Etiquette

AMENITIES

All spa guests receiving treatments will have complimentary use of the fitness center, outdoor spa terrace, Swiss showers, and eucalyptus infused steam room, salt-water indoor lap pool and Jacuzzi. Lockers, robes and slippers will be provided upon check-in for the spa. Please note that the fitness center and pool and Jacuzzi area, while on the same floor, are in a separate location from the spa and are co-ed facilities.

RESERVATIONS

We recommend that you make your spa reservations in advance of your arrival. Reservations can be made by calling the Spa Concierge Desk at 415-616-6597 or hotel extension 6597. A credit card is required to secure your appointment. If you have any special needs, physical or medical considerations, please notify the spa so that we can best prepare for your treatment.

CANCELLATION & LATE POLICY

(I)Spa is very popular and cancellation and late arrivals affect the experience of other guests.  Because your Spa appointments are reserved specifically for you, we ask that you notify the spa a minimum of 24 hours in advance should you need to cancel or re-schedule to avoid a 50% charge for the service. All no-show appointments will be charged at full value. Unfortunately, late arrivals may not receive an extension of scheduled treatments, so as not to inconvenience other spa guests.

GENDER PREFERENCE

If you have a preference for a specific gender to perform your treatment, please advise us at the time of your reservation.

AGE

Spa Services are provided to guests 13 years and older. A guardian must accompany guests under the age of 18.

CHECK IN

We encourage you to arrive 15-30 minutes before your scheduled treatment time to relax and enjoy our amenities. However, you are welcome to arrive earlier or stay late in relationship to your spa appointment to enjoy our facility.

PAYMENT & GRATUITIES

We accept cash, gift cards and all major credit cards for payment. For your convenience, gratuities are left to the discretion of our guests. Envelopes are provided at the reception desk should you wish to leave a cash gratuity.

(I)Spa Gift Cards are available to purchase for any special occasion. (I)Spa Gift cards can be purchased in person, over the phone or online.

BRIDAL SPA PARTIES & GROUP EVENTS

Pamper yourself and forget those last minute wedding details that have you stressed. Our serene oasis is filled with luxurious bridal spa treatments for you and your wedding group.  Please contact our spa concierge for a consultation.

iPODS

To enhance your stay, all of our treatment rooms have been wired for iPod access. We invite you to bring in your iPod or choose a playlist from our customized music menus to enjoy during your treatments.

OUTDOOR TERRACE

Please note that all outdoor treatments, classes and amenities are available when weather permits.

CELL PHONES

To ensure a relaxing environment for all spa guests, kindly turn all cell phones to silent before entering the spa.

HEALTH CONCERNS

Please make us aware of any medical conditions or if you are currently under a physician’s care. Such conditions include: pregnancy, high blood pressure, recent surgeries or other acute conditions. We strive to customize your experience to the best of our ability.

PERSONAL PROPERTY AND LIABILITY

Treatments received are provided for the basic purpose of relaxation and relief of muscular tension. Massage, bodywork and skin care should not be construed as a substitute for medical examination, diagnosis, or treatment, and guests should see a physician, or other qualified medical specialist for any ailment. All known medical conditions should be honestly revealed prior to any treatment received.  There shall be no liability on the practitioner’s part should you fail to reveal any information. Any illicit remarks or advances made will result in the immediate termination of the treatment, and payment of the scheduled treatment is expected.  (I)Spa reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason. (I)Spa is not responsible for any items that are lost or stolen.
